ESPN Star Sports, announces the launch of 'Dream Job' a talent hunt for a Sports Presenter. This show is based on a very successful international format followed in US and Europe. It is the only talent search that reaches out to all sports fanatics and offers the most enviable prize - a one-year contract with ESPN Software India Pvt. Ltd. Want more? You will be a television personality; with the glamour of the few good men - Harsha Bhogle, Wasim Akram and Ravi Shastri� this is a show that has the potential to make you a sure shot winner.


Dream Job has attained a cult status in the United States, and is considered the best and the most genuine talent hunts. In India, the winner will be the next generation of Sports Presenter of the new channel, Star Cricket.


The show is targeted at all you sports lovers who have the courage to face the camera and dream to turn their passion into a profession. We are making the show bigger every time by adding more facets to it. This year, contestants will be short listed from auditions held in Delhi. Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and England. The four semi-finalists will be a part of the live commentary from Australia during India's tour of Down Under in December 2007. So, pack you bags for a Christmas in Melbourne!


The contestants will be tested through various parameters like presence of mind, domain knowledge, presentability, camera readiness, easy with cricket and non-cricket sports and performance. The best performer will be carefully hand picked after rigorous rounds of assessments, tests and interviews by an esteemed Jury.

KOLKATA - 8th, SEPTEMBER, 2007


HOW CLINIC ALL CLEAR DREAM JOB WILL DEVELOP
The response to the start of the HUNT FOR A STAR CRICKET PRESENTER, CLINIC ALL CLEAR DREAM JOB, has been overwhelming. Having started with DELHI, the show will travel to the other cities of MUMBAI, BANGALORE AND KOLKATA. ENTRY TO THE CITY AUDITIONS IS BY INVITATION. Starting at 8 am, entry to Walk-ins is solely at the discretion of ESPN officials. No entries will be allowed after 11 am on the day of the auditions. Gates may close earlier if we reach the number that we can cater to that day.


The candidates selected in this first round will qualify for the Second Round, the JURY ROUND where the Judges on the show will preview the 70 talented candidates picked up from the four cities to arrive at the final 18 who will be invited to come to Delhi for the Studio Episodes in the first week of October. In the Studio set up, candidates to the Dream Job will go through a series of tasks which will test the skill required of a Channel Presenter. They will make promos, present news and feature stories, take interviews and display skills in getting a story, writing an informative, yet witty script. They will be quizzed on their sports knowledge, their power to debate on a sports related issue, display team work and yet stand out as exceptional individual television talent with presentation skills.


The last 4 survivors of the 18 that take part in the studio rounds, will be flown to AUSTRALIA to do live cricket commentary, present stories from on-field and off-field activity from the Australia-India series in December. The last 2 survivors from this round will be based on the number of audience votes that each candidate gets along with Jury votes.


The final 2 - who are ALL CLEAR - will clash in the FINALS in the ESPN STUDIOS in SINGAPORE. This will be the final test of presentation skills, sports knowledge, debating skills, ability to think on ones feet, interviewing skills, scripting ability and finally camera look and grooming. AND THE FINAL JOB INTERVIEW.


THE WINNER WILL BE GIVEN A ONE YEAR CONTRACT TO WORK AS THE PRESENTER AND FACE OF STAR CRICKET.
